Sorry to post and run, but we're at lunch and the battery on the laptop is getting low. I'll be back after lunch and can get plugged in. In the mean time have fun!!!

Let's go racing!!

  1. Thanks for posting SpeedBeagle - I was just going to do the same post and run! I too will be back on to chat later hopefully but let's put this blog to the test and see if it can handle the race chat...no indications it won't!

Ok - everybody has to do a shot of something whenever Rusty says Hot Rod!

My biggest question for the race -- HOW WILL TONY REACT TO ESPN THIS YEAR??!?!

    LOL

    ReplyDelete
  2. I reckon he'll say 'cat' more than 'hot rod', ofi :P

    ReplyDelete
  3. It depends on whether or not they call him irresponsible for saying he's going to go home and celebrate his victory by working his way through a case of Schlitz.

    ReplyDelete
  4. and I see Renault are suspended from competing in the next race at Valencia...they're planning an appeal obviously so we'll see iuf that stands or not, lol

    ReplyDelete
  5. never thought I'd say this due to the quality equipment he's got, but I think Dale Jr could be a decent dark horse today.

    ReplyDelete
  6. DJ is there...have they banned Rusty or something?

    ReplyDelete
  7. Well, I'm off. Shouldn't be too long before I'm back. You guys have fun.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Hey, Y'all! Dale, Jr. has had the stomach flu and Brad S. is supposed to be on stand-by, but we'll see. Go, Junior! And YES! to DJ taking Rusty's place!!!

    ReplyDelete
  9. bye SB, we'll keep the seat warm for you

    ReplyDelete
  10. TEZ, is it just us so far?

    ReplyDelete
  11. sounds like it so far, Athens

    ReplyDelete
  12. Well, in between Facebook and FOX, I just sent the word out.lol Poor Robby. lol

    ReplyDelete
  13. Doesn't DJ sound great?LOL Wonder what happened to Rusty?

    ReplyDelete
  14. TEZ, Joker has a live chat blog going on FOX, too! LOL None of us are there either though. lol

    ReplyDelete
  15. He just said he'd make an appearance!!! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  16. 2006? What on earth are they crapping on about? Hornish won the Indy 500 in 2006, Juan did it in 2000, get your facts right, ESPN!

    ReplyDelete
  17. My computer froze. I guess I had too many windows open trying to find everybody!!!! LOL Jon pulls for Juan. Where is Jon? lol

    ReplyDelete
  18. Hi, tez and belle! Good race so far? I just got home.

    ReplyDelete
  19. It would be nice for Terry Labonte and Bill E. to run well today!

    ReplyDelete
  20. BOBBIE IS IN THE HOUSE!!! Hey, Girl! I was starting to get worried! lol

    ReplyDelete
  21. Where is everyone else? So, they have a life or something?

    ReplyDelete
  22. I sure hope that Marcos gives everyone a run for the money today. I get to listen to him once a week on a live call-in to the radio. He is the most positive person in the world. I've fallen for him.LOL

    ReplyDelete
  23. he's doing well so far, vol :)

    ReplyDelete
  24. For real? Marcos? Jon likes him, too.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Marcos is a great guy! You should get to hear him every week, Bev.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Tony is on a mission today. I have Kyle in the SYMT. I just can't find it in my heart to pull for him though. Hanny can have him and keep him.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I bet that was a bad feeling - Denny's shift coming off (no crude remarks, VOL!) lol

    ReplyDelete
  28. hmm, I forgot to do my foxpicks....wonder who I had, lol

    ReplyDelete
  29. Ok, I'm back.

The answer to "Where's Rusty?" is that Rusty is the studio analyst a la Jeff Hammond on Fox.

NASCAR.com is streaming the MRN broadcast of the race for free this weekend if you get tired of ESPN.

    ReplyDelete
  30. JPM is also doing a great job. That entire organization could use some good luck.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Tez-

Your FOX picks are : Kurt, Jeffie, Carl, and Brian Vockers

    ReplyDelete
  32. OK, we know that Gene (HAN, to us) has been playing Mafia Wars so he's somewhere close by. I'm at private investigator at heart, too.

    ReplyDelete
  33. ta SB....those could be worse I guess, lol

    ReplyDelete
  34. SpeedBeagle.....So glad you made it back! I'm keeping a head count. Too many are missing!lol

    ReplyDelete
  35. Looks to be a bad day for Gibbs!

    ReplyDelete
  36. not a great day for the Gibbs guys so far but Joey has got a decent car still.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Doh! Kyle in the wall...

I am back but not caught up on the race yet sounds like I didnt miss much. Perhaps I'll just watch it live from now.

Making hubby some fresh salsa with tomatoes from the garden and stuff we bought at farmers market this am.

Did anyone watch quals? What happened to Kurt??

    ReplyDelete
  38. Dang, I was starting to like Kyle after I heard Joe Gibbs talking this morning. He said he knew Tony & Kyle wore their feelings on their sleeves, but we were all made different!lol

    ReplyDelete
  39. As they run, Kyle Busch is now 14th in the points standings.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Hmm apparently "something didnt work" on Kurts car in quals....

    I am catching up...almost live!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Doh! Loose wheel!!! Grrr the guys are going to be bummed about that. Now Pat is going to have to take some risks and play for position...

At least he is pretty safe in the Chase unlike his brother!!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Kristen...I went looking for everyone and found Joker having a live chat blog, too, but I was his only guest! He said he'd make an appearance. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  43. I know it is still early, but do you all think JPM can hang in there and win this? That would be awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  44. JPM almost won 2 years ago. This is without a doubt his best oval track.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Don't see why not! Anything could happen. Shoot, Junior is 7th, was 5th! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  46. why do they continue to call him "Juan Pablo Montoya", they don't use all 3 names for any other driver, lol

    ReplyDelete
  47. DOH! Sam too! ARGH...

Ok, I am caught up to live.

Bev- you are quite the investigator! LOL I think many peeps are out and about these days and not watching live. I am sure JW will find us. It is nice to have everything in one spot!

Hey vol -- yea I think Montoya can pull it off but JJ is looking racy -- Montoya needs no mistakes in teh pits to stay up front. That is where that team is weak.

    ReplyDelete
  48. They use "Dale Earnhardt Junior" LOL

    ReplyDelete
  49. fine, I'll give you that, lol

but no Mark Anthony Martin or Brian Lee Vickers :P

    ReplyDelete
  50. Hello ladies and Tez. Long nap and I see Kyle has blown a tire and probably out of Chase for now. Arrggghhhh

    ReplyDelete
  51. Why did NASCAR not use Sam's wall smack as a chance to tighten them up and have one of those exciting double file restarts?

    ReplyDelete
  52. Tez-

It could be that Juan Pablo is his first name- kind of like Jean-Claude Killy or Jean-Luc Picard.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Because "Dale Earnhardt Jr" is already up front my friend!!

Good to see you awake Han-man...

    ReplyDelete
  54. I still say it's silly, lol

Marcos is heading the wrong way in the order, dang it.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Well, this race is not a bucket full of excitement so far...once out front...

    ReplyDelete
  56. It just sounds better Tez...rolls off the tongue way better than Juan Montoya...

So appears tire issues not so much?

    Team Gibbs really hurtin

OH OH hey just said Hot Rod but it wasnt Rusty!

    ReplyDelete
  57. Han........Easy Money? LOL

    ReplyDelete
  58. I really like this site! I'm having no problems so far.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I have about 50 emails on my yahoo account and it's all from here! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  60. I just stopped by to say 'hey, y'all'.

    Car go fast.

    Should I be watching?

    ReplyDelete
  61. Probably not, Gene's playing Mafia Wars! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  62. Dude, you guys are hooked on that stuff? Where do you all find the time to play, write and respond to blog emails?

    ReplyDelete
  63. Hey Rev -- Nah, this one is a snoozer unless you are a "true fan" LOL

I gotta get your website posted on the sidebar on here, doesnt look like its up. I will work on that.

Glad you like this website Vol! I do too, much easier to find everyone....

    ReplyDelete
  64. I'm DUDETTE!!! But I just play when somebody feels sorry for me and sends me an Energy Pack. Right now, I'm out of energy! If you'd join, I'd have 23 members and I could buy a Jack Hammer for $10,000!LOL

    Glad you stopped by.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I like the fish wrangler one the most, Athens :P

    ReplyDelete
  66. On Mafia Wars, TEZ?

Y'all...Jon must be glued to the TV since Juan is leading.lol

    ReplyDelete
  67. Who's hooked on what? No, not Jack Daniels.lol

    ReplyDelete
  68. no, no, fish wrangler is yet another application you can have on facebook, lol

    ReplyDelete
  69. There you go, Chris! Drink up!lol

    ReplyDelete
  70. Sorenson is having a good, yet quiet, run there in 12th.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Is this race worse than last year's?

    ReplyDelete
  72. Gotta run, guys. Just stopped by to say hey.

I'll have a new, thought-provoking post up either tonight or tomorrow.

Stay tuned and enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

    Much love from Florida.

    ReplyDelete
  73. No to Han.

    Bye to Chris.

    ReplyDelete
  74. JPM is PO'd!LOL

Hanny, this is the race that needs to go to the Bluegrass state. I'd rather see the Cali race.

    ReplyDelete
  75. JUNYERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  76. It's Joker's fault for putting up that chat blog on FOX!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  77. No one ever thinks they were speeding. Let it go and move on.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Wow! Juan said, "I swear on my wife and kids" that he wasn't speeding! Wow!

    ReplyDelete
  79. Oy! My computer blew up right when JUUUNNNIIIOOOORRR did! LOL

    Dang it!

    Bye Chris...

No Hanny, its always this boring but at least they are running full speed this year.

JPM is funny when he is PO'ed. Points are really going to be shook up. I will not be able to handle another Martin win...blah...but it would be better than Smoke I guess.

    ReplyDelete
  80. don't forget about that bloke in the #48 car, peoples. I heard he's reasonably handy behind the wheel of one of these cars ;)

    ReplyDelete
  81. Kristen.....problem - you have hotmail.

    ReplyDelete
  82. tez-

he's my driver for the GGW. Had to hide the Chad voodoo doll :o)

    ReplyDelete
  83. Bev- I dont have his email - get it to me and I'll get him an invite asap.

There goes JJ...Dang! I knew I shouldda picked him for the trifecta. Got messed up with Alonso breaking in the first 13 laps anyway I guess...

    ReplyDelete
  84. Tez-

Do you want the good news or the bad news?

    ReplyDelete
  85. Hey everyone! I think JJ's about to make me a genius!

    ReplyDelete
  86. tez... Biffle qualified 12th. He's mine. Truex qualified 13th.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Harvick sixth and possibly moving up!! WOOHOO!

    ReplyDelete
  88. Hey Jon!

LOL -- you guys are still doing better than me with Bill Elliott!

    This is BORING!!!

And I have some jalapeno pepper juice in my eye...ouch.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Hey, Jon....Did you take a long nap, too, or is Mafia Wars your demon, too?LOL

    ReplyDelete
  90. jon, Harvick is the only driver I have that is doing well.

I've been watching and...the paint is dry, the grass has grown an eighth of an inch, and then, there is this RACE?

    ReplyDelete
  91. Martin's narrowing that lead of JJ's...

    ReplyDelete
  92. so I have Truex, ok....I'm still looking good in the trifecta then :P

    ReplyDelete
  93. The good news is that you're running away with the lead in the trifecta.

The bad news is that I had a dyslexic moment when I posted the GGW grid, and you've got Martin Truex not Greg Biffle.

    ReplyDelete
  94. volfan, I've got Stewart, Johnson, Gordon, and Kurt Busch on my fantasy team. Busch has disappointed but not the other three. Maybe I SHOULD have picked Harvick!

    ReplyDelete
  95. When I was a kid I liked "follow the leader" but not so much now.

    ReplyDelete
  96. LOL Vol!

At least my fantasy team isnt doing too bad.

    6 to go!

    ReplyDelete
  97. yawn.... The most exciting thing right now is the jalapeno juice in Kristen's eye!

    ReplyDelete
  98. ...and the fight tez and I have over Biffle. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  99. If Mark Martin doesn't win he will WHINE about something after the race. He wears me out with his negativity.

    ReplyDelete
  100. OOPS! I meant CR!! I cant keep track of who is posting since I cant see that good...

    LOL

    ReplyDelete
  101. Glad there is someone else who doesnt love Martin...I think he whines too Vol. And every team he has ever driven for is "just the best ever"....

    ReplyDelete
  102. Come on Mark and Jimmie, take each other out.

    ReplyDelete
  103. JJ made me look like a GENIUS!!

    ReplyDelete
  104. JJ wins it...grrrrrr....too bad Kurt wasnt close enough to take him out.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Off to do my GBU for the race. Later everyone!

    ReplyDelete
  106. Wow, great run for Harvick and Stremme is 16th!

    ReplyDelete
  107. Bye Jon!

Ok seems like the race chat worked ok on here right?

Anyone have any problems posting comments?

Yipee! We have a new home...

OK! Off to rinse my eyeball again...have a great rest of your Sunday guys and gals!

    ReplyDelete
  108. The only drivers I really don't like are the Bodines and Mark Martin. I'm glad Johnson won it. Have a great day to all of you.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Well, I dropped Kasey for Kurt. That hurts.

    ReplyDelete
  110. now for Briscoe to get a podium and I am sweet :P

    ReplyDelete
  111. Off to update the trifecta. Kristen, I don't think chatting is a problem. The question is can more than one of us be posting a blog at the same time.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Kristen.......You did a great job with this blog!

    ReplyDelete
  113. Hey SB - thanks for getting the race chat up and running today. I think the likelihood someone will post at the exact same time is slim but if so, it might just give you a "retry" message. We will have to watch for it.

Thanks Bev! Glad you guys are liking it over here!

    ReplyDelete
  114. Bev
Didn't catch all of the race. But I felt that NASCAR did Montoya an injusitice in the way that they penalized him. Kudos for Jimmie Johnson winning out in the end. It bodes well for the season's end.

Furthermore did anyone see that tragic accident that befell F1 driver Felipe' Massa ? He's now in hospital in critical condition from a serious brain injury.

    Massa's racing future in question....

    Alan Parkins aka tophatal ....
