The 2011 Trifecta Season

Greetings, race fans. It's getting close to that time again. The 2011 Trifecta Season will soon be upon us. Last year's inaugural chase for the coveted Triple Lug Nut Trophy provided lots of fantasy racing excitement with Tez holding on for the Championship over Kristen, Hanny, and CR (NASCAR should be as exciting).

There are 33 races on this season's schedule, with 14 of those races using the "Build Your Own" format.

There are some rule changes for the 2011 season-

1.) In the past, "starting order" has been determined by posting order; however, in looking over last season, it seems that the same people were always grabbing the early posts. This season- WITH THE EXCEPTION OF DAYTONA 500 WEEKEND- starting order will be determined by the previous week's finishing order. Daytona 500 weekend will still be first come, first served.

2.) There was some discussion at the end of last season asking for a penalty for changing drivers. After lengthy consideration, this idea has been scrapped. Changing drivers is part of strategy and mind games, and there are often times where it is necessary to change drivers in order to go for the win. The deadline for making driver changes will be pushed back to 30 minutes before the green flag. This should give everyone the opportunity to react to "last minute" driver changes from other players.
