The Danica 300

Our old buddy, Blue (b@o) from Fox Sports wrote this love letter about Danica. It may be his single most beautiful work ever.....

Tony Stewart just won the inaugural "Danica Patrick 300"" I have no idea what happened during the first 70 laps as far as the rest of the field was concerned, but I do know this.

"Danica" started the race in the 15th spot. Danica moved backwards lap by lap. Danica avoided a wreck at lap 7 by holding the wheel straight and closing Danica's eyes.

Danica pitted and took on four tire's. Danica moved back even more. Then on lap 68 there was an accident in front of Danica, Danica once again used the technique of closing Danica's eyes and holding the wheel straight, and then Danica wrecked, endingDanica's chances to win the "Danica Patrick 300"

Danica-Mania Underway Before Race Even Begins

This Saturday’s Nationwide race at Daytona can expect high ratings with lots of interested parties because that is where Indy Racing star Danica Patrick will make her official racing debut. Last week she finished sixth in the ARCA race at Daytona, the first time I have ever watched an entire ARCA race on television from start to finish.


Patrick did well in that race and finished sixth. This week will be much more of challenge especially considering she’ll be racing against Kyle Busch, Tony Stewart, and her boss, Dale Earnhardt Jr.

The Trifecta- Let the Voodoo Begin Edition

Greetings, race fans. Welcome to the first Trifecta of the 2010 season and Hanny's first opportunity of the season to complete the elusive Kylefecta.

This year, we will be competing for the coveted Triple Lug Nut trophy which will be awarded at the end of the season to the player with the most wins.

Katie is in fine form with the voodoo, and early indications are that it is already working.

This weeks races are:

The Camping World Truck Series race from Daytona, Friday 2-12, the green flag drops at 8:15pm ET.

The Nationwide Series race from Daytona, Saturday 2-13, the green flag drops at 1:34pm ET.

The Daytona 500, Sunday 2-14, the green flag drops at 1:19pm ET.

THE RULES:

Driver changes for a particular race must be submitted at least 5 minutes before the green flag drops for that race(green flag times are posted after each race).

There is no penalty for picking a driver that has already been picked.

All ties go to the player who posted their picks the earliest.

Big10, Pac10 Expansion?

The Pac 10 and Big 10 appear to be on the verge of adding enough new members to hold a conference playoff game in football. You know, like the real football conferences do. The Pac 10 would have to add two new schools to meet the 12 school requirement that the NCAA stipulates. The Big 10 only needs one to make 12. Don't ask.

The Big 10 seems to be set on Pittsburgh and the Wanstache as their 12th member. Okay, they are the natural rival of the Big 10's Penn State. So, who are the two lucky Pierres who join the Pac 10?

Utah? Could be the best available, but USC may not want another school around that could give them trouble on the football field every year. Hawaii? Nice road trips. Boise State? Another team that USC might not want to play regularly. Fresno State? Not so nice road trips?

Lets hear from the Pac 10 and Big 10 homers. Who do you want, and why?

WELL I GUESS I PISSED OFF THE WRONG GUY AT FOXSPORTS SINCE SOMEONE ELSE IS DOING IT THIS YEAR.

BUT THAT IS OK BY ME NOW I CAN DO IT JUST HERE AND NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT LINKS, AND COPING AND PASTING AND ALL THAT JUNK.

SO I GUESS IF YOU LIKE YOU CAN READ THEM BOTH AND THIS YEAR YOU MAY REALLY BE GETTING 2 DIFFERENT SIDES OF THE SAME RACE.

BUT I DO QUESTION THE COMMON SENSE IN PUTTING MARK MARTIN ON BOTH THE HOT AND NOT SIDE OF THE SAME POST, WHICH THE NEW GUY DID IN THE SHOOTOUT ADDITION. I UNDERSTAND THE REASONING: HE WAS PATTING MARK ON THE BACK FOR GETTING THE POLE THEN HE WANTED TO SLAM HIM FOR NOT SUCH A GOOD SHOOT OUT RACE, BUT IT DOES LOOK STRANGE.
