Race Chat- California

Time for some California dreaming- (maybe for a race that isn't boring? Nah, like Aerosmith said Dream On).

Questions for the day-

Will Jamie McMurray pull the repeat a la Matt Kenseth?

Will Carl's phone ring before the end of the race?

Forget Danica- what is the over/under on Kristen sightings?

I'll be in and out all day, so feel free to talk amongst yourselves.

  1. At least NASCAR got one thing right- they're not competing with the Academy Awards this year(somehow I think that was more because of the Academy and not NASCAR).

  2. over/under....depends on how well Kurt runs as that will determine how many shots of his pit box we'll get, lol

    ReplyDelete
  3. What is upo with coverage? I keep getting audio skips and video black outs? anyone else?

    ReplyDelete
  4. One more question to ponder(I knew I forgot something)- Will Dave Blaney complete more laps than his starting position number(he starts 5th)?

    ReplyDelete
  5. it's fine here so far, Yee...new rule for 2010; if Tez can finish your anthem before whoever they get singing it, it's bad. So far, I am 2-0 up this season

    ReplyDelete
  6. it might take him a while to find a gap to drop into pitlane....hmm, that is a toughie, SB

  9. I haven't heard anything other than 'O Canada' since I keep forgetting which channel to turn to so I can watch medal ceremonies, lol

I like the Olympics since it's just the music...wish NASCAR always did that too :(

  10. Would we still be fans, if the cars moved this slow in the race? It's would be kind of like watching curling.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Larry, it'll be a fair race. Should be some green flag stops to stir the thing up.

    ReplyDelete
  18. That's why Fontana should only have one date--in spring so we can tuck it away for the rest of the year.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Zzzzzzz

Will the 'debris' caution be thrown before the 1st round of pit stops, or after?

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  21. Glad some one else has the ZZZZZ's.

CR. It might pick up after the rack warms up or dries out. Is that a pot hole forming in the back stretch?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Tez.... True, true. Called the Danica rule.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Why is Gene speaking French? Depris...

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  75. I'm determined to go to the ALMS Laguna Seca race, and the Cup race in Sonoma, even though we just spent over 10,000 dollars on trying to save the life of our precious Yorkie, Shamus. We have pet insurance, but don't know what they'll pay yet. Anyway. I'm taking the U.S. policy... spend, spend, spend, till the cows come home!

    ReplyDelete
  76. CR....The Administration's policy: 'Spend it Like you Stole It!' Oh, yeah, they did!

    giggle

    ReplyDelete
  79. Gene... There's no power, like the power rulers have over subjects. No change since the beginning of time. Rome was a republic, but even before Caeser, there was the aristocracy, who held power over the masses. Our country is beyond the Rubicon. We are controlled by the ellite, the empire is alive. I know this is heavy shit. But, what better time to share it, than during a mindless chariot race in Fontana?

    ReplyDelete
  80. Caution for JPM blowing an engine.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Gives new meaning to the term, "money stop."

    ReplyDelete

  87. DW doesn't know the dif between 'whining' and 'constructive feedback'. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  88. No, Mike HMS is not 1,2,3. Try 3,4,5. Moron!

    ReplyDelete
  89. I guess my whole Rubicon remark was beyond the pale. Have fun all!

    ReplyDelete
  90. It was a miracle they didn't wreck to bring out the caution!

    ReplyDelete
  91. Do they pull a string, and DW just spouts out shit that has nothing to do with what's actually occurring?

    ReplyDelete
  92. AwwCR I'll still banter with you at Sonoma

    ReplyDelete
  93. Marcos out with engine issues....again *rolls eyes*

    ReplyDelete
  94. Thanks Gene. I thought it was pearls before swine. But then, on the other hand, it could have been shit for shinola! LOL

  95. Ren, you can be there? It' would be great to connect!

    ReplyDelete
  96. CR, I'm planning on being there!

    ReplyDelete
  100. Hah. Maybe Danica can give him some pointers.

    ReplyDelete
  101. YeeMum, at Turn 7 you can pretty much see the whole track.

    ReplyDelete
  102. I saw the dark clouds an hour ago, and wondered if anyone at Fox did.

    ReplyDelete
  103. I have to confess I did eat a chocolate car wrapped in the #88 logos just b4 the axel I didn't mean anything REALLY I wont have one again I swear

    ReplyDelete
  104. I have a box with #24 cars in it should I eat one of those now?

    ReplyDelete
  105. Yeah, and while you're at it eat the ones with the #48 cars!

    ReplyDelete
  106. Front end of 24 car chomped!
    (I don't have any 48's)

    ReplyDelete
  107. Fuel pick up explanation....for the millionth time. Thanks, Larry.

Note to Fox....your NFL announcers don't explain the same things OVER and OVER.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  114. Note to Gene, What you never heard Madden?

    ReplyDelete
  115. the Hamster got too racey there?

    ReplyDelete
  116. Gene... I believe you're correct. Dufi sounds cool to me. NASCAR WARS sounds cooler!

    ReplyDelete
  117. LOL Yee. Yes Madden, and Theisman, certainly did over-analyze everything.

    ReplyDelete
  118. AHA looks like chocolate voodoo might work?

    ReplyDelete
  119. DW does not care for any man's garden. Just that the race track doesn't get wet. Well, tell that to a starving Somalli... lol

    ReplyDelete
  120. Earlier, one of the guys on Fox said that the #78 has a Hendrick engine. The #78 has an alliance with RCR and it has an RCR engine. Basically, it's a satellite team of RCR. The #78 is in the top 10.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Bummer JJ got in on the stop- his chocolate is melting as we speak

    ReplyDelete
  122. 2010
