Since it's not up yet...
Questions to be answered;
- can Chip Ganassi have the perfect day and nab a win tonight?
- will Roger Penske be peeved at all his Indy pit issues and go 1-2-3?
- will Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin get through the race without swearing at each other?

okey dokey peoples, let's get ready to rock 'n roll.
ReplyDeleteHey Tez, will be in and out
ReplyDeletefair enough, I see they went longer than the Indy 500 did in terms of the first caution coming out, lol
ReplyDeleteYep! Kristen will be happy that the #2 has checked out already.
ReplyDeleteHey tez!
ReplyDeleteI know a little more about what's going on here. I've gotta work tonight so will only be around a couple of hours. Let's see if Kyle can pull off the Charlotte trifecta... Watch out Denny!
woot! glad to hear Kurt has checkd out! Hubby has hijacked the TV so I am not yet watching but will catch up to live tv as soon as I can.
ReplyDeleteMan Penske had a crap Indy 500. I didnt know his youngest son Jay was fielding a team. The wrecks in those cars are so violent!
I'll pop in and out and be here consistent once I can watch the race!
Go Kurt! Go Junior!!
"watching" lap by lap on nascar.com...so far so good for Kurt!
ReplyDeleteI miss the side-by-side during the ads...too spoiled with both the F1 and Indycars using it today :(
ReplyDeletewell so far I've got no commercials and little to no info on what is actually going on! So my standards are pretty low Tez! LOL
ReplyDeletePS. got all of our reservations done for Sonoma...think we are pretty set!
kristen-
ReplyDeletewelcome to my world from now until the end of the season. With the exception of 3 night races on ABC, it's LBL. At least there's Race Buddy for the next 5.
Ok, I've got the TV under my control!! Fast forwarding now...
ReplyDeleteI feel for ya SB!
ReplyDeleteIt's a Looooong race... Kyle's crew must have made some good adjustments as the sun wanders out of sight.
ReplyDeleteOk, I am live...
ReplyDeleteI concur, SB and Kristen...watching the races online only really bites :(
ReplyDeleteIt's alive!
ReplyDeletethat's good since the only alternative is dead :P
ReplyDeleteUGH! Sorry Tez!!
ReplyDeleteMarcos can't catch a break!
ReplyDeleteDamn, Jimmie's in the lead. Time to take a nap now!
ReplyDeleteoooo, Bowyer ran over Bill's airhose I think.
ReplyDeleteHopefully he's getting the bad luck done with now so he'll be all good for the road courses, lol
ReplyDeleteTez, hope you're right!
ReplyDeleteDont fall asleep yet, Kurt has something for the 48 I think
ReplyDeleteKristen, I was just thinking that!
ReplyDeleteI'd say watch for Happy as twilight turns into night.
ReplyDeleteGo Kyle! Put that 48 in its place! The Busch boys are gonna tag team JJ!lol
ReplyDeleteTez would you be up for a roommate? Race fan friend from AZ thinking of coming to Sonoma...
ReplyDeleteThose Busch Brothers can be problem children when together! Watch out JJ!! LOL
ReplyDeleteThey ALL better watch out for Happy because the night time will be the right time for Happy!
ReplyDeleteOkay, they've made the Junior fans happy, now let's watch the front of the the race!
ReplyDeleteJJ's loving this--the brothers Busch racing each other!
ReplyDeleteDwindy, LOL!
ReplyDeletethat might be tough, Kristen...there were only rooms with 1 bed left when I booked.
ReplyDeleteNow let's have a JJ-Busch brothers sandwich!
ReplyDeleteHey tez! Why can't you share your bed?
ReplyDeleteif I say I snore, do I get the room to myself, LOL!
ReplyDeleteOk - no worries Tez! Just thought I would ask...he can get his own room, they are cheap!! LOL
ReplyDeleteI love how Kyle thinks Kurt should just let him go...those brothers....
I'd love to see Kurt put Kyle in the wall just for Kyle thinking that!
ReplyDeleteOOPS, did I just say that?
ReplyDeleteCan ANYONE catch up to Johnson, PLEASE??
Just like always - whoever is out front, checks out...thank god for pit stops.
ReplyDelete...and phantom debris cautions, lol
ReplyDeletePretty soon, green flag pit stops
ReplyDeleteHello!!! Am I just in time? Looks like my pick is leading! Y'all know this doesn't mean I like him, just that I think he's going to win!lol
ReplyDeleteHey Athens -just in time for a LONG race to go! LOL
ReplyDeleteGood blog BTW...
Thank you. I'm so glad I found the email from the FOX blogger from Athens from 2008!!! I had totally forgot about him! It was bittersweet cause the same day Mr. Burkhalter died. Come on, Kyle!
ReplyDeleteTez yelling "go Kurt" yet(or worse yet, "go Jimmie"?
ReplyDeleteLOL SB...
ReplyDeleteWoot! Two big competitors taking each other out! Love it...
What's with all the pit misfortune today?
ReplyDeleteKyle is in trouble! I shouldn't have come home!
ReplyDeleteGeez! Looks like Kyle is back in the pack...
ReplyDeleteFirst, Denny and Jimmie playing bumper cars, now Kyle and Brad K playing bumper cars on pit road! This is TOO RICH!
ReplyDeleteWell, at least the pitstops are trying to make the race exciting, LOL!
ReplyDeleteWell I gotta go, you folks have fun!
ReplyDeleteDang pits are a problem today, Indy and NASCAR. This will mix things up.
ReplyDeleteKristen-
ReplyDeleteI gather you haven't checked out the Trifecta standings. Tez is through for the day with a total of 4 points. If anyone other than Kyle wins, Tez gets his first win of the season. If Kyle wins, the tie goes to Athens because she got her picks in sooner.
Bye Dwindy! Enjoy your Memorial Day weekend.
ReplyDeleteLater Dwindy! Have a great rest of the weekend!
ReplyDeleteLet's see how good JJ is in dirty air!
ReplyDeletebye, Dwindy, great to chat with you for the 500!
ReplyDeleteMarcos DID catch a break--he had a tire going down when the last caution came out.
ReplyDeleteAh, I hadnt seen the trifecta results yet...I am out of it thanks to Helio.
ReplyDeleteKyle does not look like he will win at the moment!
Dwindy...sorry I just got here! Thanks for the comment on my blog! Have fun this weekend!
ReplyDeleteI was out of it no thanks to Hunter-Reay. I had initially picked Ed Carpenter but changed it to RHR. Had I stuck with Carpenter, I might have still had a chance.
ReplyDeleteJunior was about to go a lap down and guess what? A phantom debris caution!
ReplyDeleteso were Jimmie and Kyle, can't pin that one on Jr, lol
ReplyDeleteMan Kurt is just rocking the restarts. I swear that drag racing is helping.
ReplyDeleteHappy in the top 5--I LIKE it!
ReplyDeleteTez, every NASCAR fan knows that 88 gets the phantom cautions for debris when he's: 1) the first car a lap down; 2) when he's ABOUT to go a lap down; 3) when a caution would give him a chance to win by bunching up the field.
ReplyDeleteDale Jr in the pits for overheating. I predict a phantom caution in the next 5 laps so he can take the wave around.
ReplyDeleteNow, John! I don't know that!
ReplyDeleteyep, I'm aware of that, lol
ReplyDeleteLOL Beverly! I'm saying it tongue firmly in cheek, of course!
ReplyDeleteJamie up to third, Chip Ganassi is having a pretty sweet day so far.
ReplyDeleteOh leave poor Jr alone - that was legit trash! LOL
ReplyDeleteJamie might have something for later...but Kurt pretty stout - happy on the radio. Happy Kurt = Fast Kurt
Jamie's probably the fastest car on the track now. It would be sweet if he won.
ReplyDeleteI find it hard to talk with my tongue in my cheek. Makes me sound like a retard. Sorry doc! LOL
ReplyDeleteIt looked like Jr. had been driving behind a garbage truck!
ReplyDeleteKristen, LOL!
ReplyDeletejon... sweet for Jamie and Chip. Not for Bowyer, Kurt, and all the rest...
ReplyDeleteIf Bowyer wins, he'd be the third driver in NASCAR history to win a race on his birthday. (Cale Yarborough and Kyle Busch are the other two.)
ReplyDeleteand JJ is done.
ReplyDeleteJJ!!
ReplyDeleteJJ took a HARD hit.
ReplyDeleteJJ went bang!
ReplyDeleteTez, you're right. He's done. Splitter is all bent up like an accordion and the front end is smashed in several inches.
ReplyDeletehmmmm... seems to be a different kind of year for the 48 team...
ReplyDeleteThat was a beautiful sight- Chad Knaus headed for the garage
ReplyDeleteSB...I said that to my 4-year-old nephew one night when JJ wrecked and he told me not to talk bad about Jimmie Johnson or our President!LOL
ReplyDeleteSeems like JJ's racing luck has run out.
ReplyDeleteJJ doesnt seem too concerned...
ReplyDeleteI was off eating back now!
Kurt starting to overheat?
ReplyDeleteYup, he backed up to Cupcake on purpose. Good thing they are both friends...
ReplyDeletehe is good now- got the paper off
I was away--what was Harvick's unscheduled pit stop for?
ReplyDeleteI caught that on the NASCAR.com site, on the lap by lap.
ReplyDeleteNot going to be able to see the finish. Maybe Speed will rerun it at 4 in the morning when I wake up to GO TO WORK!!! Hospitals never close! Have a great rest of the weekend, guys! Go, Kyle!
ReplyDeleteNever mind, it was for Robby Gordon. Happy took the wave around as he had pitted 9 laps earlier.
ReplyDeletehave a good night, Athens!
ReplyDeleteI'm confident Happy will be back towards the front soon. Caution for Biffle hitting the wall. HUGE break for Harvick, as he can pit now for four tires and fuel.
ReplyDeleteBye Athens!
ReplyDeleteCouldnt figure out what you were talking about Jon...glad you figured it out.
Explantion now on TV re: harvick
Good night, JON & Happy!!!
ReplyDeleteHarvick had an unscheduled pit stop. Shortly after that stop, a caution came out. He took the wave around. Then shortly after the restart, another caution came out, for Biffle hitting the wall. Harvick was able to pit on this caution. He's on the tail end of the lead lap. He has fresh tires while the rest of the lead lap cars have a dozen or so laps on their tires.
ReplyDeleteNight Beverly!
ReplyDeleteChad and JJ should not give up their day jobs for acting.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteHe's leading
ReplyDeleteDon't look now, but Harvick's in 16th and moving up FAST.
ReplyDeletelol jon, I saw that just as I posted, then I deleted, but too late. You're FAST! Ever thought about driving a race car?
ReplyDeleteAh, Jon, Kurt is on rails tonight - Happy gonna need a miracle to catch him! LOL!!
ReplyDeleteLOL CR! I did at one point in my life!
ReplyDeleteKristen, I just want Happy to finish ahead of Kyle! That's all I'm concerned about now!
You crack me up Jon...Go Happy Go!
ReplyDeleteI've seen drivers with better cars than Kurt and have their engines blow up late in the race.
ReplyDeleteLOL Kristen!
ReplyDeleteKurt's my lugnuts A pick. GO KURT!
ReplyDeleteI'd like anyone to finish in front of Kyle, Jon ;)
ReplyDelete...and Jamie's on my 3wide $$$ team... hmmm... Which one do I need to win most?
ReplyDeleteTez, I hear ya!
ReplyDeletenice picks this week tez. I'd give my congrats, but then Kyle would win for sure!
ReplyDeleteYea I am a little worried aobut Kurt's engine - Dodge power is strong tonight just hope it lasts.
ReplyDeleteCupcake in the lead! WOOHOO!!
ReplyDeletedang it!
ReplyDeletewhat is up with all these dang commercials
Green flag pit stops are coming! Money stops--this is where the crew makes their money (or steals it, if they screw up on the money stop).
ReplyDeleteCome on Brew Crew!!
ReplyDeleteStarting to look like Chip's day. I really like Jamie, and it's cool he's been doing so good this year. Jack, has never been one of my favorite owners, even though I'm a Ford guy.
ReplyDeleteI think Jamie and Tony are the only guys in the field who have won Cup races with three different manufacturers.
ReplyDeleteWOOT! Jr leads! Where is Gene to make fun of me...
ReplyDeleteLOL!
ReplyDeleteJr is needing some tires.
ReplyDeleteDang, stabbed by a spoiler!
ReplyDeleteGene is on a Sasquach hunt! LOL
ReplyDeleteOuch. Man Smoke has nailed a lot of crew members. Didnt he hit one of his own guys last year?
ReplyDeleteTime for a new Mustang... sigh...
ReplyDeleteWoot ! My fantasy team doing good with Burton and KEnseth in top 5.
ReplyDeleteI dont mind Cupcake winning but would prefer Kurt!
Kangaroo on the barbee!
ReplyDeleted'oh :(
ReplyDeleteDang Tez! You just helped my boy who is stellar on restarts!!
ReplyDeleteExactly what Cupcake DID NOT want to see--a caution for Marcos hitting the wall.
ReplyDeleteMoney stop!
ReplyDeleteBrew Crew... got er done!
ReplyDeleteYES!!! Brew Crew rocks!
ReplyDeleteKurt and Matt beat Jamie off pitroad.
ReplyDeleteAnyone sad to see Fox go? Forgot TNT takes over next week
ReplyDeleteWOot! Thats what we call a Miller Lite Fly BY!
ReplyDeleteDO I hear Jon yelling? Top 10...
ReplyDeleteNo, because he lost two spots right after that!
ReplyDeleteIt is good to see Johnson 36 laps down. Good job Jimmie.
ReplyDeleteNow if there are no more cautions, Oh what the heck, there will probably be another one soon.
Hey Photo! you woke up! should be a good finish...
ReplyDeleteWell then you were yelling for another reason Jon...he is still pretty far behind Kyle unfortunately.
There's gona be a wreck... maybe... maybe not... GO Harvick! Get your top 10!!!
ReplyDeleteit's Kurt's to lose at this point.
ReplyDeleteHi Photo!
ReplyDeleteKenseth and Harvick made contact a few laps ago and caused Harvick to lose momentum.
ReplyDeleteWOHOOO! I think we got this!
ReplyDeleteYES!! Now they need to do this at Sonoma!!
ReplyDeletewell done, brew crew!
ReplyDeleteAnd who was it picked Kurt for the Trifecta?????
ReplyDeleteIt sure wasn't the girl in the Miller Lite shirt :o)
Good job Kurt and Brew Crew! Off to do my GBU. Later!
ReplyDeleteWay to go Kurt! Good race, except for Harvick coming in 11th! Night all, have a great Memorial Day!!
ReplyDeleteoooo, Burton telling off Kyle.
ReplyDeleteWow, Jeff Burton in Kyle's face. Love it! Later all.
ReplyDeleteg'night everyone, have a good day slacking off tomorrow while some of us work for a living, lol :P
ReplyDeleteNaw I never pick Kurt cuz I always jinx him...
ReplyDeleteHave a great rest of your weekend everyone!
(that was kinda funny Tez...)
Good race and kudos to Kurt. I stayed awake for the whole race.Take cars gang. see you at the next race.
ReplyDeletewell, we had last Monday off for Victoria Day, Kristen so it's all good :)
