THE RACES
1. The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race from Martinsville, Saturady March 27; green flag drops at 2:16pm ET
2. The F1 Australian Grand Prix, Sunday March 28; green flag drops at 2:00am ET
3. The NASCAR Sprint Cup race from Martinsville, Sunday March 28; green flag drops at 1:13pm ET
4. The IRL Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, Sunday March 28; green flag drops at 3:46pm ET
THE RULES
Driver changes for a race must be submitted before the posted green flag start time.
If you have bad finish in an early race, you may change races with a 5 point penalty. Your switch must be posted before the green flag drops on the later race.
Ex: You pick drivers in the CWTS, Cup and F1. Your driver in the truck race smacks the wall on the first lap and is out of the race. You may- should you so decide- to pick a driver in the IRL race, and take a 5 point penalty.
There is NO PENALTY if you switch a race before it is run.
Ex: You pick drivers in the CWTS, Cup, and F1. Your F1 driver qualified poorly and doesn't have a chance. You switch from F1 to the IRL race BEFORE the green flag drops on either race.

In the chase for the coveted Triple Lug Nut Trophy, Jon is on top of the leader board with 1 win.

To those of you on Facebook--
I post the Trifecta to my wall on Thursday and Friday. Would you like me to send a reminder to your FB inbox? I can do a group mailing thing just for those of us who are playing, and if you want to opt out of it, you can.
Thank you...

I will be availing myself of the "change races" provision and pick Fernando Alonso in the F1 race and take the penalty.
The next update will be posted tomorrow after the Cup race.
SB, I like Fernando. Good choice.
ReplyDelete...and good luck!
ReplyDeleteWoot! Way to go Bad Person!
ReplyDeleterain just started falling with 15 minutes before the F1 race....could be in for a cracking race if it stays that way :D
ReplyDeleteGlock passes Schumacher....I must need new glasses, that's amazing!
ReplyDeleteButton the first to swap back to slicks...and swaps ends about 10 seconds later, oopsie.
ReplyDeletebut it is the right call as he sets fastest lap :o
ReplyDeleterace leader, Vettel, off!
ReplyDelete15 to go; Button, Kubica, Massa, Alonso and Hamilton top 5.
ReplyDeleteno change with 5 to go.
ReplyDeleteHamliton has a go at Alonso leaving Webber to have a go at Hamilton....both the Brit and Aussie are out of the running.
ReplyDeleteor not....Lewis manages to end up in 6th and Mark in 9th, lol
ReplyDeleteMark got a little greedy. At least he got 2 points.
ReplyDeleteCup and IRL races postponed until tomorrow. Rain, rain go away--
ReplyDeleteis it just me or is it a little silly that Lewis is blaming Mark for the shunt yet didn't own up at Monza a couple years ago when he shoved two guys off the track....
ReplyDeleteOk, after 2 races-
ReplyDeleteKlv 10
CR 10
Tez 13
jon 13

I thought Helio came in 5th? No worries I am still atop the standings! Go Big DADDY!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up Kristen. Evidently, the IRL results I got my data from were not the final standings. Here are the corrected standings after two races-

And now for the final standings after all races have ended:

In the overall standings, Jon and Kristen are tied for the lead with 1 win each.
IMPORTANT: EVEN THOUGH THE CUP GUYS ARE OFF NEXT WEEK, THERE WILL BE A TRIFECTA(CWTS, NNS, and F1).
good job, Kristen! If only Red Bull had pitted their guys a lap earlier, I might have had something for you, lol
ReplyDeleteI may skip this week, SB....depends on when exactly it gets posted as I shall finally be seeing the gf after a wait of, nearly, three months due to the Olympics :o
WOOT! I havent seen the Cup race/results yet but happy to have prevailed...
ReplyDeleteTez-
ReplyDeleteThe Trifecta will be posted sometime Thursday morning. If you'd like, you can go ahead and leave your picks early- or send them to me on Facebook- but you'll be logged in as the last one to pick before me.
