What 10 tracks are Yours?

It's over and Brian France said a few weeks ago that there head line was the 48 team going for four in a row. ESPN did there part and talked the talked that it was really some thing big?

I think the fact that a 40 year old with a new team and a young grew chief was sitting in second place was bigger. Thats just me I guess.lol

We have talked about the 10 tracks and Hanahan has brought it up in a few of his post but it was mainly a few tracks. Now Brian France has drunk him self under the table and you have a chance to pick the 10 tracks. What are the 10 tracks you would put in the chase.

Here is mine. PS. I am not thinking about travel time or weather.lol

They need to change some of the tracks, they need at least one road course and another super speedway.

My list for chase tracks..

1. New Hamshire NHIS - Miler.
2. Walkins Glen - Road course
3. Martinsville - Short
4. Atlanta - Super speedway
5. Texas - Miler
6. Darllington - Miler +
7. Talladega - Super speedway
8. Bristol - Short
9. Phoenix - funky road course with all left turns.lol
10. Daytona - Super speedway

Now maybe a few can be moved around to help on travel, but Daytona is last. I don't care about NASCAR having there super bowl at the start. They can keep it but they will finish there as well. lol

Let's see your list. Cheers2All

  3. 1A.Dirt Track at CMS
    1..Charlotte Motor Speedway
    2..Richmond
    3..Sonoma

    6..Talladega
    7..Martinsville

The first race at the dirt track would be the night before the CMS Chase race. Just the 12 Chasers would be in it. 100 laps, half points.

  4. Okay, these aren't necessarily my favorite tracks (if that were the case then it would just be a list of road courses) but here's a wish list for Chase Tracks for 2010 ...

Dover - start the chase at a short track
Kansas - only visit to this track is in the chase
Texas - everything is bigger in Texas
Sonoma - chase must have a road course!
Charlotte - the heart of the chase in the heart of Nascar land.
Martinsville - track always produces great racing
Talladega - the wild card of the chase, it's like Thunderdome, chance decides. This track scares the 48 team and so it's definitely in the chase!
Atlanta - high speeds, fast track ... what's not to love
Las Vegas - a visit to Sin City in the chase is an absolute must.
Homestead - only visit to the track for the season finale.

Some alternates would be Phoenix or Bristol or maybe a new road course event at Road America in Elkhart Lake. Or maybe even Darlington.

lol CR, could you just imagine Sprint Cup cars trying to negotiate the Cork Screw at Laguna Seca?! That would make the rain race in the Canadian NWS look tame by comparison! lol.

  5. righto, here we go...first things first; the dict-Tez-orship mandates Loudon, Pocono and Fontana each lose a race with the remaining Pocono and Fontana ones reduced to 400 miles (tempted to drop Loudon all together and chuck in Road America or Laguna Seca but we'll leave the 'Mundane Mile' with one for now).

1 - Las Vegas (kick it off with some glitz and glamour I say)
    2 - Dover
    3 - Martinsville
    4 - Texas
    5 - Talladega
6 - Sonoma (Montreal gets its June spot)
    7 - Phoenix
    8 - Kansas
    9 - Lowe's
    10 - Homestead

  6. 1.Rockingham.
    2.Watkins Glen
    3.Talladega
    4.Phoenix
    5.Las Vegas
    1 week off
    6.Darlington
    7.Dover
    8.Homestead
    9.Daytona

Two road courses, two restrictor plate races, a couple mid size tracks and a week off in the middle to think about it all.
