I haven't seen it posted on here yet so here we go....please don't shoot me, ofi and SB *laugh*
A few things to watch for:
- can Tony Stewart do the sweep (ever since Denny Hamlin did it in 2006 as a rookie, no one else has)?
- was last week the start of the typical 'Jimmie Johnson surge' as he pushes to make NASCAR history and go 4-in-a-row?
- can Juan Montoya put the disappointment of last week behind him and take his first win since 2007?
- can we have yet another first time winner with weather being a factor as usual here?

Tez-
ReplyDeleteOFI is off doing family things. I won't shoot you. Now where did Katie put that Tazmanian devil chew toy??????
BTW, missed you in the trifecta this week.
ReplyDeleteHate to say it, but the surge is a tidal wave. JJ can already clear off some shelf space for this year's trophy. Arrgghh!
ReplyDeleteHave my weather channel radar set to Long Pond. Major rain headed toward the track.
ReplyDeleteTez:
ReplyDeleteGood questions to ponder. It looks like the weather will play a part in this weeks race. Thinking in that vein leads me to think Mikey Waltrip might win this one if it is shortened.
Of course Johnson might rack up another win or Stewart might do it. Then there is Kyle Busch but you have better odds at picking him to wreck or blow up the engine.
Who knows, this might be the weekend that Logano shines.
No way are they going to keep this track dry if it keeps drizzling with rain and the clouds look like they can drop more at one time. Its a wash out today,, Again I bring up that tracks with 2 dates in the schedule should have to put lights up at the track.
ReplyDeleteIf they get this going its going tobe a short race which is a good thing, But with no rubber down it will be a follow the leader and make up spots in the pits.lol
well, I'm currently in a heat wave so they can have Sunvalley raceway if they want....it's a short track too so chaos will reign! :P
ReplyDeleteyeah, sorry about missing the trifecta, SB. We had a tender close on Friday so I was running around most of the week getting all that sorted and totally forgot about it :(
ReplyDeleteNASCAR.com reporting that Mike Helton says a decision will have to be made in the next 15 minutes on whether or not to call the race.
ReplyDeleteNASCAR.com now says race postponed until Noon ET tomorrow.
ReplyDelete9am start for us Westies tmrw.......oh joy *rolls eyes*
ReplyDeleteglad it's a holiday here so I can actually see it if it's on, lol
I'll be WORKING during the race! Actually it won't be too bad, as it IS Pocono. I can miss this one, LOL.
ReplyDeleteHey guys! Guess I didnt miss much. Just popped home so my folks could pack off to the airport soon.
ReplyDeleteGuess I wont be chatting live tomorrow - I dont think my AM clients would appreciate it!
Have a great evening all!
(PS Tez - I would never shoot you! LOL Anyone is welcome to post the chat anytime -- you dont even have to wait for a race!)
nope, about the only thing you missed was the waiting around to see if this race started today, LOL!
ReplyDelete40 min til "post time"...I am trying to decide if I want to know what is going on during the day and save myself 4 hours of TV tonight or just watch it!
ReplyDeleteYou'll know what I decide if I am back this AM or not...LOL
Happy Monday all!
they didn't 'use up' yesterdays anthem or invocation so I am miffed why they did it again.
ReplyDeleteearly stop for Tony....I could hear SB screaming from here, lol
ReplyDeleteI appear to be the only one here....fair enough, I'll shut up for a while then :)
ReplyDeleteAnyone still here?
ReplyDeletesort of....switching between rooms in the ad breaks (it's too hot in the living room, lol) to check here, SB
ReplyDeleteDavid Ragan barely hits the wall and they throw a caution....they didn't do that earlier when Ambrose hit the wall harder so I can only assume they wanted to bunch the field up *rolls eyes*
ReplyDeleteRobby and Stremme having a handbag fight; both pinged for being idio....uh, for aggressive driving.
ReplyDeleteWhat the ???? I'm trying to follow the race on Lap by Lap. This is what? the 3rd or 4th caution in as many laps??? Is NASCAR deliberately trying to get JJ back on the lead lap???
ReplyDeleteAnd yet another caution which puts JJ back on the lead lap
ReplyDeleteand Marcos's day is done....Denny Hamlin gets thrown under the bus, jon
ReplyDeleteGreen Flag Lap 179
ReplyDeleteYellow Flag Lap 181
How many yellow flags are we going to have in the last 50 laps of the race????????
a few, lol
ReplyDeleteoverall, that was a really good race :)
