Sorry to post and run, but we're at lunch and the battery on the laptop is getting low. I'll be back after lunch and can get plugged in. In the mean time have fun!!!
Thanks for posting SpeedBeagle - I was just going to do the same post and run! I too will be back on to chat later hopefully but let's put this blog to the test and see if it can handle the race chat...no indications it won't!
Ok - everybody has to do a shot of something whenever Rusty says Hot Rod!
My biggest question for the race -- HOW WILL TONY REACT TO ESPN THIS YEAR??!?!
It depends on whether or not they call him irresponsible for saying he's going to go home and celebrate his victory by working his way through a case of Schlitz.
and I see Renault are suspended from competing in the next race at Valencia...they're planning an appeal obviously so we'll see iuf that stands or not, lol
Hey, Y'all! Dale, Jr. has had the stomach flu and Brad S. is supposed to be on stand-by, but we'll see. Go, Junior! And YES! to DJ taking Rusty's place!!!
I sure hope that Marcos gives everyone a run for the money today. I get to listen to him once a week on a live call-in to the radio. He is the most positive person in the world. I've fallen for him.LOL
Dang, I was starting to like Kyle after I heard Joe Gibbs talking this morning. He said he knew Tony & Kyle wore their feelings on their sleeves, but we were all made different!lol
Bev- you are quite the investigator! LOL I think many peeps are out and about these days and not watching live. I am sure JW will find us. It is nice to have everything in one spot!
Hey vol -- yea I think Montoya can pull it off but JJ is looking racy -- Montoya needs no mistakes in teh pits to stay up front. That is where that team is weak.
I'm DUDETTE!!! But I just play when somebody feels sorry for me and sends me an Energy Pack. Right now, I'm out of energy! If you'd join, I'd have 23 members and I could buy a Jack Hammer for $10,000!LOL
Oy! My computer blew up right when JUUUNNNIIIOOOORRR did! LOL
Dang it!
Bye Chris...
No Hanny, its always this boring but at least they are running full speed this year.
JPM is funny when he is PO'ed. Points are really going to be shook up. I will not be able to handle another Martin win...blah...but it would be better than Smoke I guess.
volfan, I've got Stewart, Johnson, Gordon, and Kurt Busch on my fantasy team. Busch has disappointed but not the other three. Maybe I SHOULD have picked Harvick!
Hey SB - thanks for getting the race chat up and running today. I think the likelihood someone will post at the exact same time is slim but if so, it might just give you a "retry" message. We will have to watch for it.
Thanks Bev! Glad you guys are liking it over here!
Bev Didn't catch all of the race. But I felt that NASCAR did Montoya an injusitice in the way that they penalized him. Kudos for Jimmie Johnson winning out in the end. It bodes well for the season's end.
Furthermore did anyone see that tragic accident that befell F1 driver Felipe' Massa ? He's now in hospital in critical condition from a serious brain injury.
Thanks for posting SpeedBeagle - I was just going to do the same post and run! I too will be back on to chat later hopefully but let's put this blog to the test and see if it can handle the race chat...no indications it won't!
ReplyDeleteOk - everybody has to do a shot of something whenever Rusty says Hot Rod!
My biggest question for the race -- HOW WILL TONY REACT TO ESPN THIS YEAR??!?!
LOL
I reckon he'll say 'cat' more than 'hot rod', ofi :P
ReplyDeleteIt depends on whether or not they call him irresponsible for saying he's going to go home and celebrate his victory by working his way through a case of Schlitz.
ReplyDeleteand I see Renault are suspended from competing in the next race at Valencia...they're planning an appeal obviously so we'll see iuf that stands or not, lol
ReplyDeletenever thought I'd say this due to the quality equipment he's got, but I think Dale Jr could be a decent dark horse today.
ReplyDeleteHe sure could use a break.
ReplyDeleteDJ is there...have they banned Rusty or something?
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm off. Shouldn't be too long before I'm back. You guys have fun.
ReplyDeleteHey, Y'all! Dale, Jr. has had the stomach flu and Brad S. is supposed to be on stand-by, but we'll see. Go, Junior! And YES! to DJ taking Rusty's place!!!
ReplyDeletebye SB, we'll keep the seat warm for you
ReplyDeleteTEZ, is it just us so far?
ReplyDeletesounds like it so far, Athens
ReplyDeleteWell, in between Facebook and FOX, I just sent the word out.lol Poor Robby. lol
ReplyDeleteDoesn't DJ sound great?LOL Wonder what happened to Rusty?
ReplyDeleteyep, DJ does sound good, lol
ReplyDeleteTEZ, Joker has a live chat blog going on FOX, too! LOL None of us are there either though. lol
ReplyDeleteLOLOL!
ReplyDeleteHe just said he'd make an appearance!!! LOL
ReplyDelete2006? What on earth are they crapping on about? Hornish won the Indy 500 in 2006, Juan did it in 2000, get your facts right, ESPN!
ReplyDeleteMy computer froze. I guess I had too many windows open trying to find everybody!!!! LOL Jon pulls for Juan. Where is Jon? lol
ReplyDeleteHi, tez and belle! Good race so far? I just got home.
ReplyDeleteIt would be nice for Terry Labonte and Bill E. to run well today!
ReplyDeleteBOBBIE IS IN THE HOUSE!!! Hey, Girl! I was starting to get worried! lol
ReplyDeleteWhere is everyone else? So, they have a life or something?
ReplyDeleteI sure hope that Marcos gives everyone a run for the money today. I get to listen to him once a week on a live call-in to the radio. He is the most positive person in the world. I've fallen for him.LOL
ReplyDeletehe's doing well so far, vol :)
ReplyDeleteFor real? Marcos? Jon likes him, too.
ReplyDeleteWhere's CR?
ReplyDeleteMarcos is a great guy! You should get to hear him every week, Bev.
ReplyDeleteTony is on a mission today. I have Kyle in the SYMT. I just can't find it in my heart to pull for him though. Hanny can have him and keep him.
ReplyDeleteI bet that was a bad feeling - Denny's shift coming off (no crude remarks, VOL!) lol
ReplyDeletehmm, I forgot to do my foxpicks....wonder who I had, lol
ReplyDeleteOk, I'm back.
ReplyDeleteThe answer to "Where's Rusty?" is that Rusty is the studio analyst a la Jeff Hammond on Fox.
NASCAR.com is streaming the MRN broadcast of the race for free this weekend if you get tired of ESPN.
JPM is also doing a great job. That entire organization could use some good luck.
ReplyDeleteTez-
ReplyDeleteYour FOX picks are : Kurt, Jeffie, Carl, and Brian Vockers
OK, we know that Gene (HAN, to us) has been playing Mafia Wars so he's somewhere close by. I'm at private investigator at heart, too.
ReplyDeleteta SB....those could be worse I guess, lol
ReplyDeleteSpeedBeagle.....So glad you made it back! I'm keeping a head count. Too many are missing!lol
ReplyDeleteKyle in the wall
ReplyDeleteLooks to be a bad day for Gibbs!
ReplyDeletenot a great day for the Gibbs guys so far but Joey has got a decent car still.
ReplyDeleteDoh! Kyle in the wall...
ReplyDeleteI am back but not caught up on the race yet sounds like I didnt miss much. Perhaps I'll just watch it live from now.
Making hubby some fresh salsa with tomatoes from the garden and stuff we bought at farmers market this am.
Did anyone watch quals? What happened to Kurt??
Dang, I was starting to like Kyle after I heard Joe Gibbs talking this morning. He said he knew Tony & Kyle wore their feelings on their sleeves, but we were all made different!lol
ReplyDeleteAs they run, Kyle Busch is now 14th in the points standings.
ReplyDeleteHmm apparently "something didnt work" on Kurts car in quals....
ReplyDeleteI am catching up...almost live!
Doh! Loose wheel!!! Grrr the guys are going to be bummed about that. Now Pat is going to have to take some risks and play for position...
ReplyDeleteAt least he is pretty safe in the Chase unlike his brother!!
Kristen...I went looking for everyone and found Joker having a live chat blog, too, but I was his only guest! He said he'd make an appearance. LOL
ReplyDeleteI know it is still early, but do you all think JPM can hang in there and win this? That would be awesome.
ReplyDeleteJPM almost won 2 years ago. This is without a doubt his best oval track.
ReplyDeleteDon't see why not! Anything could happen. Shoot, Junior is 7th, was 5th! LOL
ReplyDeletewhy do they continue to call him "Juan Pablo Montoya", they don't use all 3 names for any other driver, lol
ReplyDeleteDOH! Sam too! ARGH...
ReplyDeleteOk, I am caught up to live.
They use "Dale Earnhardt Junior" LOL
ReplyDeletefine, I'll give you that, lol
ReplyDeletebut no Mark Anthony Martin or Brian Lee Vickers :P
Hello ladies and Tez. Long nap and I see Kyle has blown a tire and probably out of Chase for now. Arrggghhhh
ReplyDeleteWhy did NASCAR not use Sam's wall smack as a chance to tighten them up and have one of those exciting double file restarts?
ReplyDeleteTez-
ReplyDeleteIt could be that Juan Pablo is his first name- kind of like Jean-Claude Killy or Jean-Luc Picard.
Because "Dale Earnhardt Jr" is already up front my friend!!
ReplyDeleteGood to see you awake Han-man...
LOL, TEZ!
ReplyDeleteI still say it's silly, lol
ReplyDeleteMarcos is heading the wrong way in the order, dang it.
Well, this race is not a bucket full of excitement so far...once out front...
ReplyDeleteIt just sounds better Tez...rolls off the tongue way better than Juan Montoya...
ReplyDeleteSo appears tire issues not so much?
Team Gibbs really hurtin
OH OH hey just said Hot Rod but it wasnt Rusty!
Han........Easy Money? LOL
ReplyDeleteI really like this site! I'm having no problems so far.
ReplyDeleteI have about 50 emails on my yahoo account and it's all from here! LOL
ReplyDeleteI just stopped by to say 'hey, y'all'.
ReplyDeleteCar go fast.
Should I be watching?
Probably not, Gene's playing Mafia Wars! LOL
ReplyDeleteDude, you guys are hooked on that stuff? Where do you all find the time to play, write and respond to blog emails?
ReplyDeleteHey Rev -- Nah, this one is a snoozer unless you are a "true fan" LOL
ReplyDeleteI gotta get your website posted on the sidebar on here, doesnt look like its up. I will work on that.
Glad you like this website Vol! I do too, much easier to find everyone....
I'm DUDETTE!!! But I just play when somebody feels sorry for me and sends me an Energy Pack. Right now, I'm out of energy! If you'd join, I'd have 23 members and I could buy a Jack Hammer for $10,000!LOL
ReplyDeleteGlad you stopped by.
I like the fish wrangler one the most, Athens :P
ReplyDeleteJack Hammer or Jack Daniels?
ReplyDeleteOn Mafia Wars, TEZ?
ReplyDeleteY'all...Jon must be glued to the TV since Juan is leading.lol
Who's hooked on what? No, not Jack Daniels.lol
ReplyDeleteMargarita time. Who wants one?
ReplyDeleteno, no, fish wrangler is yet another application you can have on facebook, lol
ReplyDeleteThere you go, Chris! Drink up!lol
ReplyDeleteSorenson is having a good, yet quiet, run there in 12th.
ReplyDeleteIs this race worse than last year's?
ReplyDeleteGotta run, guys. Just stopped by to say hey.
ReplyDeleteI'll have a new, thought-provoking post up either tonight or tomorrow.
Stay tuned and enjoy the rest of your Sunday.
Much love from Florida.
NO
ReplyDeleteJPM too fast leaving pits
ReplyDeleteNo to Han.
ReplyDeleteBye to Chris.
JPM is PO'd!LOL
ReplyDeleteHanny, this is the race that needs to go to the Bluegrass state. I'd rather see the Cali race.
JUNYERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteaction at last!
ReplyDeleteIt's Joker's fault for putting up that chat blog on FOX!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteNo one ever thinks they were speeding. Let it go and move on.
ReplyDeleteJunior blew up
ReplyDeleteBummer!
ReplyDeleteWow! Juan said, "I swear on my wife and kids" that he wasn't speeding! Wow!
ReplyDeleteOy! My computer blew up right when JUUUNNNIIIOOOORRR did! LOL
ReplyDeleteDang it!
Bye Chris...
No Hanny, its always this boring but at least they are running full speed this year.
JPM is funny when he is PO'ed. Points are really going to be shook up. I will not be able to handle another Martin win...blah...but it would be better than Smoke I guess.
Bite your tongue!!!
ReplyDeletedon't forget about that bloke in the #48 car, peoples. I heard he's reasonably handy behind the wheel of one of these cars ;)
ReplyDeleteKristen.....problem - you have hotmail.
ReplyDeletetez-
ReplyDeletehe's my driver for the GGW. Had to hide the Chad voodoo doll :o)
Bev- I dont have his email - get it to me and I'll get him an invite asap.
ReplyDeleteThere goes JJ...Dang! I knew I shouldda picked him for the trifecta. Got messed up with Alonso breaking in the first 13 laps anyway I guess...
I have Biffle as mine, SB.
ReplyDeleteTez-
ReplyDeleteDo you want the good news or the bad news?
Hey everyone! I think JJ's about to make me a genius!
ReplyDeletetez... Biffle qualified 12th. He's mine. Truex qualified 13th.
ReplyDeleteHi jon
ReplyDeleteboth, SB :P
ReplyDeleteHarvick sixth and possibly moving up!! WOOHOO!
ReplyDeleteHey Jon!
ReplyDeleteLOL -- you guys are still doing better than me with Bill Elliott!
This is BORING!!!
And I have some jalapeno pepper juice in my eye...ouch.
Hey, Jon....Did you take a long nap, too, or is Mafia Wars your demon, too?LOL
ReplyDeletejon, Harvick is the only driver I have that is doing well.
ReplyDeleteI've been watching and...the paint is dry, the grass has grown an eighth of an inch, and then, there is this RACE?
Martin's narrowing that lead of JJ's...
ReplyDeleteso I have Truex, ok....I'm still looking good in the trifecta then :P
ReplyDeleteThe good news is that you're running away with the lead in the trifecta.
ReplyDeleteThe bad news is that I had a dyslexic moment when I posted the GGW grid, and you've got Martin Truex not Greg Biffle.
volfan, I've got Stewart, Johnson, Gordon, and Kurt Busch on my fantasy team. Busch has disappointed but not the other three. Maybe I SHOULD have picked Harvick!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a kid I liked "follow the leader" but not so much now.
ReplyDeleteLOL Vol!
ReplyDeleteAt least my fantasy team isnt doing too bad.
6 to go!
yawn.... The most exciting thing right now is the jalapeno juice in Kristen's eye!
ReplyDeleteLOL! It isnt pretty Tez....
ReplyDeleteCR, I sure agree with you.
ReplyDelete...and the fight tez and I have over Biffle. LOL
ReplyDeleteIf Mark Martin doesn't win he will WHINE about something after the race. He wears me out with his negativity.
ReplyDeleteOOPS! I meant CR!! I cant keep track of who is posting since I cant see that good...
ReplyDeleteLOL
Glad there is someone else who doesnt love Martin...I think he whines too Vol. And every team he has ever driven for is "just the best ever"....
ReplyDeleteCome on Mark and Jimmie, take each other out.
ReplyDeleteJJ made me look like a GENIUS!!
ReplyDeleteJJ wins it...grrrrrr....too bad Kurt wasnt close enough to take him out.
ReplyDeleteOff to do my GBU for the race. Later everyone!
ReplyDeleteWow, great run for Harvick and Stremme is 16th!
ReplyDeleteBye Jon!
ReplyDeleteOk seems like the race chat worked ok on here right?
Anyone have any problems posting comments?
Yipee! We have a new home...
OK! Off to rinse my eyeball again...have a great rest of your Sunday guys and gals!
The only drivers I really don't like are the Bodines and Mark Martin. I'm glad Johnson won it. Have a great day to all of you.
ReplyDeleteWell, I dropped Kasey for Kurt. That hurts.
ReplyDeletenow for Briscoe to get a podium and I am sweet :P
ReplyDeleteOff to update the trifecta. Kristen, I don't think chatting is a problem. The question is can more than one of us be posting a blog at the same time.
ReplyDeleteKristen.......You did a great job with this blog!
ReplyDeleteHey SB - thanks for getting the race chat up and running today. I think the likelihood someone will post at the exact same time is slim but if so, it might just give you a "retry" message. We will have to watch for it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bev! Glad you guys are liking it over here!

Massa's racing future in question....
Alan Parkins aka tophatal ....
